Kitten Krazy Interview
I started volunteering at Kitten Krazy when I was 6 . I am very proud to get the chance to volunteer at kitten krazy shelter. Here are just a few thing's I do there. I clean their tank's, feed them, play with them too. It makes me happy to see the change in the animals and how they are thriving. Every time I help out I know that I am helping a wonderful organization grow. I always have peace of mind knowing the kittens or cats are adopted to a wonderful caring home.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Wendy Mirrotto for this project and I was very happy she took time out of her very busy schedule to discuss Kitten Krazy.
Wendy has always had a special passion for cats and founded Kitten Krazy in May of 2004.
Wendy began the organization to meet the needs of homeless and unwanted kittens in the Medina area." They are currently a non profit 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization."
Wendy's mission upon opening in 2004 was to diminish the over population by rescuing as well as finding homes for stray, unwanted, and abandoned kittens and cats in the Medina and surrounding areas .
They have seen" tremendous growth" over the past 7 years and continue to help animals on a daily bases.
Wendy said "while their initial objective of saving as many cats and kittens as possible remains the same, the current plan in progress is the opening of a spay/neuter clinic in Medina County." Wendy feels the importance of educating the community on spay and neutering their pets is tremendous. Spay and neutering procedures reduce the amount of homeless and unwanted kittens and dogs. Wendy feels we already have a plethora of unwanted and lonely animals The hope is that as long as the cost is affordable, pet owners will be more responsible. We all need to do what we can to limit the number of unwanted animals so we can reduce the amount of neglected and homeless animals.
This belief not only applies to cats and kittens it should also apply to puppies and dogs. Without "owner education and awareness" the amount of homeless animals will continue to rise. Please spread the word and consider this upon your next purchase off any animal. Please consider adoption instead.
