Aang is different from most benders in the Avatar world- he can bend all 4 elements: air, fire, water, and earth! It's something nobody else can do, because he is the Avatar. Aang is The Last Airbender, because when the Fire Nation decided to try and take over the world, they knew that the Avatar alone could stop them, so they killed all of the airbenders(people of the Air Nomads, who can control the element of air with their minds)-except one, Aang, and the Avatar, who hibernated in a glacier for 100 years and was found by the Southern Water Tribe girl, Katara, and her brother, Sokka. That means Aang is 112 years old!
