À la suite de notre projet « Noël pour les enfants », le directeur de l’établissement nous a informés que deux salles de classe déclassées et délabrées ne peuvent plus accueillir les élèves, entraînant un sérieux manque de places.
Il sollicite notre appui pour rénover ces deux classes afin de permettre à tous les enfants de retrouver un cadre d’apprentissage adapté.

I am trying to assess the interest among young people out there for setting up a group exchange channel on any platform (Telegram/ VK/ Rutube/ Youtube..) within the framework of BRICS countries. This is not a political or business related forum. We can start with Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and include the new members Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates.
This could be higher school, college, university students who belong to some sort of fraternity related to education or professional training which has several members (at least 3 ?).
I am just studying this and not a moderator or decicion maker but a facilitator. If we receive sufficient feedback we will discuss how to go ahead.

I am the travel coordinator of a French international school located in France which has international sections, and I'm also in charge of linguistic exchanges and relations with other institutions abroad.
Our students of international sections have an excellent level of English because most of them have parents born in Foreign countries (USA, Australia, England...).
We already have the opportunity to collaborate with several institutions in some US cities such as San Francisco, New York, and Denver, as well as other countries (Canada, India, England, Norway, Spain, Iceland ...).
Our commitment to those projects stems from the conception we have of school exchange.
Thus, under the trips we organize, with immersion in family, our students have the opportunity to rub shoulders with a new environment, a new culture and to live fully immersed with the practice of the language. We offer the same opportunity, in return, for the corresponding students who received us.
Every year we are excited to launch new partnerships to enrich our exchanges.
Thus, we would like to propose to you a language exchange with family immersion for around 16 students, for the school year 2024-2025.

I'm Irish and have lived near Rennes, France, with my french husband and 4 kids for the last 12 years. I previously posted on this page to help out my sons english teacher who was trying to set up correspondence with an irish school and I got lots of helpful replies and some contacts were made and she managed to put something in place with a school in Dublin which was fantastic. This time, I am trying to help out my husband's cousin, Melanie Basnel, who is an english teacher based in Avignon in the south of France. Melanie has tried to contact several irish schools regarding a similar project she would like to put in place and, despite several mails, has received zero replies.
Initially, she would love to set up correspondence with an Irish school allowing her students to correspond in english and likewise the irish students in french and whilst doing so work on different projects together, have skype chats, set up pen pals, etc. and, if all goes well, why not arrange a student exchange in time. Her school is a catholic mixed school and she teaches a class of roughly 30 kids aged 13/14 years old so ideally she would like to correspond with mixed schools in Ireland but any interest from any school would be welcome. Obviously this project is something that would be discussed between the teachers themselves, my job is to get the communication going!
Melanie is an extremely dynamic and motivated english teacher and puts so much work and effort into teaching her students and i would love to make this happen for her. Je suis enseignant à kolda au Sénégal. Je cherche actuellement des francophones pour mener des conversations avec mes élèves (âgées 18 à 25 ans) afin de les aider à améliorer leurs compétences en compréhension et production orale.
C'est un centre de formation professionnel et nous recueillons les jeunes pour leur apprendre des métiers comme la mécanique, l'électricité, le dessin bâtiment, tôlerie,... J'envisage de faire des appels vidéos pendant la semaine quand ils vous conviennent, duration moins de 30 minutes. J'espère qu'on utilise pendant les appels un peu d'Anglais aussi si vous voulez.

| | There are times when we run into some issues, however, I go over everything that they are writing and they read it to me, if there are spelling or other errors I correct them. I have also allowed some of the younger students to tell me what they would like to correspond and then I write it all out, and then have them copy it in their own handwriting. We were fortunate to be able to do this for one summer break into November, and the school we were corresponding with was moved and my contact was unable to continue. The students were a bit worried at first, but once the letters began coming they were more excited and were really starting to get the hang of writing when we had to stop. I thought we would give it another try this summer. |
