Hi, we're a class of 20 kids (2nd grade - 7-9 yrs) and are looking for English and/or German speaking pen pals from Ireland, Great Britain and USA. We are planning on doing a project with English speaking kids - how they live, what they enjoy, etc. as our kids will start learning English during the next year.
Our class consists of 10 boys and 10 girls and our school is located in the middle of Germany (about 60 km north of Frankfurt). Your kids do not have to speak German, we have a translator available and there are many other ways to communicate.

Hello! Our school wants pen pals in English-speaking countries. We run a project in which we write letters to students of other schools. After having failure we are finally looking for serious and lasting contact. Our idea is to write snail mail letters with students at the age of 10-14. We usually collect the letters and send them to another school in one big envelope. This way we can share the costs and control success. Our students want real friendship with kids all over the world. They are looking forward to getting new pen pals.
The contact can also be extended to e-mails but we prefer the school address or use the e-mail address of the club.

I have a class of 27 9 -10 year old children who are in their first year of English and would love to have a penpal in Ireland. I have alreday got lovely letters of them where they introduce themselves and give some general information. I am going to visit Ireland for the next two weeks and I will take the letters with me. Je suis enseignante de francais dans les "petites classes" d' une école privée en Allemagne. J' enseigne une 1è (6 - 7 ans), 2è (7 - 8 ans), 3è (8 - 9 ans), 4è (9 - 10 ans) et une 6è classe (11 - 12 ans). Ce sont à peu près 30 à 36 élèves par classe que j' enseigne en groupes partagés. Je voudrais avoir des correspondances par lettres, un échange de photos, peut-être des "Hörspiele" faites par les enfants, etc.; peut-être aussi un échange de quelques élèves ou tout un projet avec une ou plusieurs classe quand les élèves seront plus agés (voyage en France/ Allemagne). Mes collègues enseignent aussi les classes jusqu' au bac, donc des élèves jusqu'à l'âge de 19 ans.

I teach English at a German secondary school. My pupils are in a ninth grade and there are 30 students aged 14-16 years in the class. The students have been learning English for four years now. I would like to do a weblog project with them in September or October. The students (or groups of students) create their own weblogs where they write in English about themselves and other topics they are interested in. It would be great if someone from another country could do the same with his or her class during the same period of time so that the students can get in contact by visiting the other pupils' weblogs where they can exchange information and/or express wishes by writing comments. I would be glad if I could find partner(s) with who I can realize this project. |
