Andy is my favorite player ever!! He holds the record for the fastest serve, 155 MPH. He won the 2003 U.S. Open and finished that year ranked number 1 in the world. He has an ESPY award from 2004 for Best Male Tennis Player. The ATP named him 2003 Player of the Year. Andy has his own charity, the Andy Roddick Foundation, and won the 2005 Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award for it. The December 2003 issue of People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive named Andy as the Sexiest Athlete. :-)





Rafael Nadal

Rafa is one of my most favorite players. He has won 3 straight French Open titles- 2005, 2006, and 2007. He is the number 1 clay court player in the world. He was runner-up at Wimbledon 2006 and 2007, losing to Roger Federer in the finals. In 2003 he won the award for ATP Best Newcomer of the Year.


Novak Djokovic

Born: May 22, 1987

Height: 6 ft 2 in.

Plays: Right-handed

Nickname: Nole

Lives in: Belgrade, Serbia

Novak's name is pronounced JO-ko-vich. And Nole is pronounced NO-lay. He has 6 singles titles, but hasn't won any Grand Slams. Novak is everyone's best bet to be the next world number 1. Although he hasn't won any major tournaments, he surprised many by beating Nadal and Federer back to back in Montreal. He reached his first Grand Slam semifinal at the 2007 French Open, but he hasn't made it to a final. Many people notice Novak's hair right away. The editor of SMASH magazine calls it "a head of hair that looks like a specially designed surface to slow down the game."


Roger Federer

Born: August 8, 1981

Roger holds the recored for straight weeks ranked number 1 in the world-166. He has 12 Grand Slam titles: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 Wimbledons, 2004, 2006, and 2007 Australian Opens, and 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 U.S. Opens. He's never won the French Open, losing to Rafael Nadal in the final the past 2 years. He held a 41-match winning streak until March 2007 when he was beaten by Guillermo Canas in the second round of the Indian Wells Masters tournament. He's also the 2005 Player of the Year.


Bob and Mike Bryan

Plays: Mike is right-handed and Bob is left-handed

Live in: Camarillo, California

Bob and Mike have been the highest ranked doubles team in the world since September of 2003. They have 5 Grand Slam titles: 2003 French Open, 2005 U.S. Open, 2006 Australian Open, 2006 Wimbledon, and 2007 Australian Open. They have a total of 39 career doubles titles. The twins have played on the Davis Cup team for 5 years. Bob sometimes plays singles for the team. Bob and Mike have their own band- The Bryan Bros. Band. Bob plays the keyboard and Mike plays the drums.
