I have 6 American high school students in Virginia (USA) who are interested in pen-pals who are German native speakers. We could work something out that is mutually beneficial, where they sometimes write to each other in German and other times in English. It would be nice if the pen pals were also interested in emails AND snail mail as I think postcards/letters that you can really hold often can be more exciting. The students are the ages 14-16.

Next school year I will be teaching a 4th grade class in Los Angeles, California. School does not start until August 2015 but I would like to make some connections before. We would probably be ready to start corresponding in September. I have done pen pals from the United States and also Canada. Even though Canada is on our border the students had a hard time grasping that they had different holidays than us. All in all it was a good experience. I usually have between 26-30 students. Hello! I am working at an arts & humanities summer camp in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a theme around global citizenship. I thought pen pals from around the world would be a good way to incorporate this theme, as well as some creative writing. The children range from 9-19 with about 90 in all, but I'm not sure exactly how many students in each age range until the camp starts in July.
We're interested in pen pals from any part of the world with children of any age, but particularly 12-18. We would like to exchange letters at least once this summer with the campers, which will hopefully continue once camp ends.

My name is Dorely. I am a high school teacher in New Jersey. We are located just 25 minutes from NY City. I teach honors Spanish IV, and my students are really interested in a possible exchange program with a high school in Spain. We are also looking for a group of students between the ages of 17 going to 18, since they would love to learn from their culture, life and studies in a similar age. Our honors students are highly motivated kids who know that learning the Spanish language is a key for their personal and professional success in today's world.

I have two groups of students I would like to find penpals for. My first group contains 20 students of the age of 9-10 years of age. My second group consists of 24 students ages 10-12. This is something I would like to do with my students on a monthly basis. We would like to explore cultural differences, norms, and develop social skills on a global level. We would like to start this in the month of February and continue this project until June of 2015. I teach grade 9 (14-15 years old) Earth Science. I would like my students to write to English speaking students in the Southern Hemisphere (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.) about weather and climate in order to help my students understand that summer and winter happen at the same time but in different hemispheres. We'd also love to write to English speaking students at high latitudes (Alaska, Norway, Russia, etc.) to learn more about the hours of daylight at different latitudes.
I have 251 students (haven't you heard about the CRAZY class sizes in Utah?!?). Although my students are grade 9, I think they would benefit from writing to anyone in grades 7-12.

I'm a school counselor in a middle school in North Carolina. I have a group of about 20 students between the ages of 11-14, and would like to connect each of them with at least one international pen pal. My hope in doing so is to expose them to a giant, wonderful world outside of North Carolina's borders, which will maybe broaden their plans for their futures.
About 5 of them speak English and Spanish, otherwise they all speak English. I'd prefer to communicate through e-mail, but I'm to sending letters as well.
