Middle school - "American Middle School Students in Need of Global Perspective"

Hello,
I have about 100 7th graders (12-13 years old) who are learning about world history before 1750. We are in Mississippi and many of them have never been out of the state so conceiving of the wider world is difficult. Regrettably, they only speak English but they are very enthusiastic and anxious to speak with anybody form Asia, Africa, Australia or Europe.

Hello!
I am the advisor for a penpal club in the states--Washington. My students are hoping to meet students in other countries, so that they can learn about what's it like--being a student in "?" country. I think this is a wonderful opportunity, and hope that we can get some responses. My own personal experience with penpals has been great, and I still write to a number of them. It's a great way for people to connect! Please consider my offer!

Thanks,

I'm looking to form a special link between the primary school I teach in, l'Ecole Carrette, and a school in the United States. I think twinning can help education and development for both schools. Normally in a twinning situation, schools take on shared curriculum projects together or one school helps the other complete a different project (I have English language learning, and exchange of Franco-American culture at the heart of my projects). My aim is to improve my children's communication and writing skills through letters or emails. If you are interested in becomming pen pals or becomming a twin class with my class in France, please send me an email :)

Primary school - "homeschooling family"

I have 2 daughters age 11 and 12(almost 13) I would like to find foreign english speaking pen pals for. I also have a 6 year old son who cannot write letters but would be happy to dictate to me so I can write for him. We have many homeschooling families in this area if there are more pen pals than we can handle on our own.

Middle school - "Seeking PenPals/E-Pals for 7th Grade Class"

Hello, I am a 7th grade teacher from Arkansas and I am searching for pen pals for my writing class. I teach a large group of students (120+) that are 12-13 years of age. The students would like to correspond with other youth from the USA and other countries around the world. My classes would have access to their email or could write letters. Please email me or answer the ad if you are interested. Even if you do not have a large group of students, I would be happy to use this as an enrichment activity for some of my students. Thank you--

High school - "To foreign language teachers..."

Hi, We are www.transfamilia.com Our purpose is to help teenagers to find host families in which they'll be able to spend a few weeks to a few months to learn a foreign language. If you feel this is of interest to your students or their families, please direct them to our site. All the families we propose are registered Transfamilia members. All Transfamilia families have a teenage child of their own, and all are volunteer to either send their own kid abroad and/or host a foreign teen. They are not paid to host. Registration on the site are free. So are searches for matching families. We are looking for english speaking host families too. So if you feel your students could be interested, direct them or their parents to our site. For more info: opaul@transfamilia.com Regards,

Primary school - "Irish Penpal for my 8 year old American Daughter"

Hello,
My name is Cindy. My family and I live in Northern California in the USA. My daughter (who is 8 and is in the 2nd grade) asked me to find her a penpal from Ireland. She is hoping to communicate by post only with an 8 year old girl.
I thought this would be an excellent learning experience. She can practice her writing skills, make a new friend, learn about a new country and it's culture, and so much more.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Cindy

I teach ESL in a private school in Santa Clarita,California and this is the first time I see this website. Anyway, my students are from all over the world like: Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Thailand, Korea, Columbia etc. I would love for anybody to contact and let me know if you have a group of students that live in the U.S. and that would be interested in exchanging ideas, hobbies, language tips, etc. My students'age ranges from 18-25. What my students need mostly is Contact with America. If you live nearby, please let me know, so you can come as a guest speaker. It would be fantastic.
Thank you.
