: "Pen Pals in Los Angeles, CA!"

Hello! I am currently teaching at a school with 120 AMAZING young scholars ages 10-11 (5th grade). We are looking for international pen pals from ANYWHERE around the world to begin a snail mail LETTER exchange throughout the course of the 2013-2014 school year. This is our third year doing this wonderful project, and I can't tell you how meaningful it is for all the students. If interested, please email me so we can discuss further. Thanks! :)

Hi,

I am in a urban school in Portsmouth UK. There are 3 classes of approx 30 children each. This term we are doing a project looking at rural and urban places in the UK and we would love the children to have someone to share this with and maybe explore the same in another country. We are starting our topic next week (sorry for the short notice) so we would really like to start an email exchange soon!

Jessica

Hi! I'm a sixth grade teacher in Toms River, New Jersey. I usually get between 90 and 95 students each year. (I'll find out my numbers just prior to Labor Day.) I've had my students involved with the Great American Mailrace for several years, but it doesn't guarantee responses from our letters. I teach "friendly letter format" and feel it's an important tool for students to learn. Since you have a large group, I thought we might be a good match. Let me know if you might be interested. It would also advantageous doing mailings in the USA. I hope to hear from you.

Hi! I've just read your message and I'm wondering if you could be interested in building up a project with me. I'm an English teacher. I don't teach in a primary school but in a junior high school. My pupils are very young: I've got two years (year 1: children aged 10-11 and year 2: children aged 11-12). I'd like my students to exchange letters/mp3 files/videos to present themselves, their school, their daily routine... in order to discover another culture. Looking forward to your reply! Genevieve
