47346 - from African Student Org (USA) - 2012-09-28 High school : "LOOKING FOR MENTEES to PENPAL!" Hello Everyone, This is the African Student Organization in the United States at Binghamton University. Our organization is looking to develop a penpal program with African students across the world where they can receive a mentor from our school who will help guide them, answer any questions, exchange culture and language, and break new barriers. It would be a great opportunity for students to have college age students of all majors at their discretion. We also want to start some fun (inexpensive) international exchange between African classrooms and African students with students in our University as well as students in our district. (We are looking into Primary Schools, Middle Schools, and High Schools)

47350 - Reply from mary (Malawi) - 2012-09-28 hie! am Mary, am young teacher at a middle school in Malawi, southern Africa. our school has 130 students, and my class has 40 students, of which 11 are girls and others are boys, our students experience a lot of problems such as early pregnancies, abuses (of different forms) which makes them drop out of school, even the cultural believes contribute to high drop out rates from schools.
