Middle school : "Eager students looking to explore the world"

Hello,
I'm working with a group of 7-8 grade students (Age 12-14) on a cultural exploration program. We would love to set up pen pal relationships with other classes around the world. The kids can teach each other about their culture as well as further explore their own culture by exchanging e-mails, photos and videos. If you are interested in participating in a cultural exchange with us please contact me at erica.tipton@imagineschools.com Thanks!

Hi Erica,

I teach English in a small historical town in the Czech Republic. My 14-18 year old pupils would like to get some pen pals from your school. They are keen English learners and are interested in history, geography and culture. If you are interested, please let me know as soon as possible. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Best wishes. Hana

Hi Alex and Decontee
I tried e-mailing you both individually but got an error page when I tried to send it. We would love to set up a pen pal relationship with your students! We can initiate the relationship by writing letter to your class first if you would like! I have only a group of about 14-16 students right now but we will be expanding that group soon. What sorts of things would you like to know about USA culture to begin with? We will be sure to include it in our first letters. What address should we send the letters too? I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your class! Please e-mail me your school address at erica.tipton@imagineschools.com

Mrs. Erica Tipton

We are a grade school (Dwede Wilson child Academy), situated in the beautiful and peaceful nation of Ghana, this is an institution set up to educate underprivileged children. In a country like Ghana where poverty in all its forms abounds, it is not easy to find every child in school and we are doing everything possible to assist young people achieved knowledge to become useful in society. My students speak English as their first and only language. Most of the students here are mostly Liberian refugee from the refugee camp here in Ghana. As an instructor of social studies and English, I would like to collaborate with school in any part of the world (anywhere outside Africa is preferable since we are familiar with the African culture). They would prefer U S A or Great British using basically snail mail or postal. This is due to the lack of internet access here.
I am sponsoring six classes but it would be great if one of my classes can carry out this great project with your students. We would want to extend to a whole school partnership in which respective classes will be paired with classes over there for project activities over time. I believe this exchange will help the students develop their writing and reading skill and also help them understand their geographical setting. They will like to send in pictures and other needed items to their pen pals as well

We are really looking forward to communicating with your class.

Sincerely
Mrs.Decontee Jolo

Hi Erica,

My name is Alex and I am teaching middle school grades 1, 2, and 3 in South Korea. Grades 1, 2, and 3 are the equivalent of US grades 7, 8, and 9. I am an English teacher and would love to discuss with you the possibility of cultural exchanges with your students through hand crafted letters. My students would love to learn about US culture and share their Korean culture. Please email me if you want to discuss this further.
