We are a grade school situated in the beautiful and peaceful nation of Ghana Call young life Academy this is an institution set up to educate young children as well as the less privilege in our society today. In a country like Ghana where poverty in all its forms abounds, it is not easy to find every child in school and we are doing everything possible to assist young people Acquire knowledge to become useful in society. My students speak English as their first and only language. They however speak their local dialect. Most of the students are Liberian refugee from the refugee camp here in Ghana,West Africa. As an instructor of cultural studies and geography I would like to connect my students to communicate with students in any part of the world ( anywhere outside Africa). they would prefer U S A or Great British using basically snail mail or postal mail. This is due to the lack of Internet access here. I believe this exchange will help develop their writing and reading skill and also help them understand their geographical setting. They will like to send in pictures and other needed items to their pen pals as well. I am teaching 6 classes and the work is sometime hectic but I love working with young people to develop their skill and abilities through a professional services and support regardless of their culture, races, religion and political affiliation. i am presently in search of class to communicate with.We would want to extend to a whole school partnership in which respective classes will be paired with classes over there for project activities over time.collaborating with only you class is Ok. We really want the partnership to be sustained over time. We can then later plan to exchange visits which will help both schools have real time experiences with each others' environment if there`s a need. The students here are very smart and are willing to share their experiences and daily life activities with students interested to carry out this project(students letter and cultural exchange) as the school year about to commence.
