42306 - from Tracey (USA) - 2011-11-11 : "Our students want to connect with others students and learn about the world!!!!" Our low income, high poverty students want to learn about the world. This gives our students a chance to learn about the world that they may or may not ever be able to visit. I am looking for teens that our students can write to and become friends with and who each one can teach the other about the world and how it is in other places. We are a large school in a urban area that faces high crime and low parental involvement, this gives our children something positive to gather knowledge of the world.

We are a VERY rural school in South Dakota and it would be great for my students to connect with your students because of the drastic differences within their geographic and economic environments. I think it would be a very neat opportunity for my students to connect with students in an area of the United States that they might not ever visit. I want them to broaden their cultural and environmental knowledge of the United States, while maybe making some really good friendships and gain knowledge of letter writing. I would prefer pen friendship first by letters, because all of these children haven't got internet at home, and it would be a multidimensional, more beautiful, and effective experience for them.
