Primary school : "Diverse Class Looking to Extend Learning Outside the Classroom"

Hi! I am a teacher in the US. My students come from very diverse backgrounds and countries: Haiti, Vietnam, Nigeria, Cape Verde, Japan, and many others. I am looking to find other classrooms in other countries that would like to write (snail mail preferred) to my students. For my students, it will be a way to practice their letter writing skills and to make friends. It might be a great way for your students to practice English. Our school year has just started and I am eager to have them learn about the world. I hope to hear from other teachers soon! Thanks!!

Hi Kate!

I am a 5th grade teacher in Sweden but right now we have a project where I have kids ages 10-16 that all want to find a penpal and learn more english. Your mixture of backgrounds sounds really exciting and I would love to hear from you and perhaps get a communication going between our students.

Hi Kate,

I am a primary school teacher in the UK. My students come from a rural part of England and would love to learn more about different cultures. They would be extremely enthusiastic about sending letters via snail-mail as hardly anyone does it that way now!
If you were looking for more than one class, then our school would love to be involved in a larger scale correspondance. If not then individual classes would be fine also.
