: "Looking for penpals for Fifth grade class"

I am a fifth grade teacher of students ages 10-11. This school year (which starts August 17) I will have approximately 18 - 24 students. I would love for my students to be able to do a culture study with students in another country. Our class would also be able to help the students with their English if needed. Please reply!

Hi, I also teach English in Ceuta, Spain. I would like to participate in your pen pal project. I have around 70 students aged 8-12 who want to start through snail mail. Tell us how you would like to start. Thanks very much for giving us this oportunity. The kids are really excited about it!

Hi!

I’m an English teacher from Ukraine, Kyiv. My students are 10-11 years old. We’d like to have pen-pals for joint projects (art, writing, history, customs and traditions).

Hello,
I'm a school teacher in Southern France, my pupils are 8 to 10 years old. We will work on a Flat Stanley project, would you like to receive one of our paper dolls, make him live with you and send him bach with a journal, photos... We could also receive a Flat Stanley if you want.
Best regards
Maria

Hi,
I teach 9 to 10 years old pupils in France, in Rhône-Alpes, between the Alpes and Jura. I'll have 24 pupils in September.
I'm looking for English speaking pen pals, to exchange mails, games, videos .... from class to class. I'd be very interested in having an exchange with your class.
You can e mail me : j.durandet-abouba@orange.fr

Hello Rachel.

I am a fifth grade teacher (in a small town in Switzerland), too. I have 14 students, 8 girls and 6 boys. Our school year starts next Monday 8th. That will be their third year of English lessons.

We are very interested in having pen pals with English as their native language and in learning more about the USA.

My idea of exchange is sending a class` mascot (e.g. a teddy bear) with a diary and letters of the students. It would be great if your class takes the mascot into school life and if the children take it home, keeping a diary of what it is doing, about life in the USA/ your hometown, pictures and things the children like to do. We would be more than happy to do the same for you if you would like to send a mascot.
Then send it home with its diary/pics etc and we can find out more about your country.

After sending the mascot back the children could go on writing letters, e-mails or chatting with each other. Whatever...

I am looking forward to your answer.
Sandra
