: "Middle School (Houston, TX)"

I'm a 6th grade world culture teacher in Houston, TX. I have a very diverse, interested group of students who are eager to learn about another culture. I will likely have about 120 to 130 students who will want to write letters, probably weekly or bi-weekly, sharing information about culture, traditions, daily life, school, etc. Perhaps we could include a small cultural gift exchange?

Any region outside North America is great! My students are mostly fluent in English and Spanish, but not other languages. Please email me soon, as I would like to have the project going for the 2010-2011 school year! Thanks!

Hi, I am an English teacher from Spain. I would like to give my students the opportunity to get into contact with students from other countries because they are eager to improve their English and, above all, to know people from the USA. They are 12-14 years old.

I hope you are interested in us.

Greetings from Spain

Hello,
I am a teacher from Greece and I teach on an island called Kea. Five of my students are getting prepared for the ECCE (B2 level) exams of the University of Michigan. They are aged 14-16. I was thinking of an oral communication via web camera with some students from a U.S class. We could give our students different subjects each time, so as to get prepared and let them discuss about it.
I would be very happy if we could co-operate.
Please let me know if you are interested.

With kind regards
Soza Mouzaki

Hello John,

I teach English to 9th graders in Japan. I would love to collaborate on a letter exchange program this school year. In Japan, 9th grade in still a part of middle school. English is my students second language, so hope this letter exchange will help them improve their English communication skills. Also, it will allow them to learn about another culture. I think a small culture gift is a great idea.
I'm also fluent in Spanish, so if there is a language barrier with any of your Spanish-speaking students I wish to help. I look forward to working with you this school year.

Thank you,

Guadalupe

Hello, I'm an English teacher working in the North-East of France and I'm in charge of 4 classes: pupils from 9 to 14/15 and we would be really happy to exchange mails or letters with your pupils. I'm ready to work on school projects and we've already worked on USA last year and it would be really interesting to exchange with US pupils.
I think it would help all the pupils to get to know more about culture, traditions and the country.
I hope you will answer to this message,
thanks,
Jalila
