High school : "Find out our Arts focused tuition free high school in Michigan"

I am a high school social studies teacher looking for one or two partner schools, preferably in a country that is different politically, economically and culturally different from the U.S.

I teach U.S. government, economics and intercultural relations to students 15-18 years old who primarily identify themselves as artists. Please check out our school's website: http://artsacademy-woods.org

This partnership would begin next September, but I'd like to do some planning in the next few months.

I hope to cross paths with you soon.

Warmly,

Russanne

Hi

I am a modern studies teacher at a high school in Scotland in the UK. One of the units that we study as part of the subject is the USA looking at your system of government and social and economic issues within your country. I am also keen to encourage my pupils to learn more about this topic not only through the textbooks but also by communicating with children of a similar age living within that country. The group I teacher range from 16-18 year olds also.

Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks

Jennifer

Hi there,

We have a group of 15 young men, 18 years old. They are currently training in a college to eventually join Aramco, the world's largest oil company in Saudi Arabia. We are teaching them English, and we wanted to set up a pen pal club by which they can email messages to your students to learn more about USA and the differences in culture, economy etc... I think it would be great for these guys to talk to art students as there are virtually no art schools or a passion for art in this country.

However, the main purpose of this correspondence is to learn to read and write English.

What we really need is an indefinite flow of replies to messages that we send to you, such that our club can keep running indefinitely. We will ensure that all messages sent are screened and monitored for safety.

If you can help us, please email me asap.

Thank you.

M Syeda

Hello Russane,

This is Ernest a social studies teacher from Ghana. I have read your info and became interested in it. I am also looking out for a school to link with so that we can share ideas and projects together so as to broaden the mind of my students for them to have a better understanding of the world that they live in. I am therefore writing to inquire from you if you would like to link with my school to enable us achieve this idea.

Waiting for your response.

Ernest.

Hello! My name is Thaís and I´m an English teacher from Brazil. I teach all ages, but what I´m looking for are kids from 10 to 16 who can communicate with my students. Not just for their English to improve, but also for the importance of the communication, for the new culture they can learn and "teach".
They are all so excited with this projet! I just wanted to make the fist contact, and then, with your answer, I´ll give their e-mais and you can have a new and nice friend from Brazil.
Í hope this can work well, hope you have appropriate conversations for your ages and have lots of fun!!!
Hoping to hear from you as soon as possible...
Teacher Thaís.
