Once I finish up high school I'll be joining the United States Army as a Working Military Dog Handler. A Working Dog Handlers job is to give commands to the German Shepard to search/check/etc. The WDH and their K-9 friends will come into play in the following tasks: -Drug enforcement(PDDD) -Explosive Detection(PEDD) -Health and Welfare searches -Customs Support -Searching Buildings -Searching for missing people -Searching for weapons -Military Law Enforcement -VIP Protection and other tasks The K-9s Handler is to do the following for their K-9 -Feed -Groom -Nails -Play time -rewards -Health check up (Teeth/claws/etc) -Medical attention (If K-9 is injured during duty) The reason I've selected my job is, well a long story. I not only love dogs Ever since I was younger I've wanted to be in the United States Army as im from a military family. However I really desire the fact that I want to protect my friends/family my country and other countries. |
