Primary school : "Grade 5 Pen Pals"

am a Master's student at Sacramento State University as well as a credentialed teacher. My group is doing our final project with one of our teacher's 5th grade class. Our topic is severe weather, such as, monsoons, hurricanes, floods...etc. We would like to connect with a school from another state or another country and learn about current or past severe weather conditions the student's have experienced.

We thought it would be cool to do a virtual field trip, letters, podcasts...

Please let me know if any teacher's are interested..

Hi!
That would be really interesting doing a project about weather. We in Sri Lanka have sun shine all the year, it's warm and it rains and windy... My 9 year old daughter would like to share information about different types of weather in the world. They'll be having their year end term tests very soon. During school holidays in December she can write letters to friends in America.
