: "Library Summer Reading Program"

Hi,

Every year the Tehama County Library has a summer reading program. This program runs from the end of June to the first week of August. Our theme this year for the program is "Around the World". As part of the program the Children's Librarian would like to have a pen pal program via letters, not email.

Annually we have between 300-350 children participating in summer reading. Their ages vary from preschool aged to around 13. We are estimating that only some of our participates would want to be involved in this portion of the summer reading program.

Are there any other libraries or schools that would want to participate in this program with us? We could not guarantee a specific number of participates.

My name is Shannon Smith and im 16 years old. I live in the United States and I would love to be a pen pal for some of your students. Each time I recieve a letter i will mail one right back or I will email one, whichever you would like. I am eager to hear back from you.
