Middle school : "MIddle school Students seek World-wide pen pals!"

Hello! I am a seventh grade Social Studies teacher in Kentucky, USA. I have approximately 110 students, ages 11-14. Every six weeks, my students write pen pal letters which I gather in one bunch and mail to a recieving teacher whom I've arranged to recieve the letters. We seek pen pals from all over the world. Write us and let's become friends!

Grade 5 and teacher Débora
My name is Débora. I'm an English teacher in a public school in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. I and 5th grade students are working on a collaborative blog project in our English classes. Throughout this year we will pos content related to our activities and preferences. My students are 10-13 years old. Their first language is Portuguese, but they are learning English as their second language. We are looking for ePals, who learn English too, anywhere in the world. The aim is to communicate in English, make pen friends and know about life of children in others countries. We'd like to correspond by blog and to write at least some time. We hope to find an enthusiastic class and teacher. We look forward to hearing from you. Hope you on our blog!

I am an English teacher in Spain and my students would like to have a pal friend so that they could practise their English and know about other costumes. They are in the ages between 12 and 18. It could be great. We are looking forward to it!

Hi, Larry! It's great! I was indeed looking forward to hearing from you! our school needs such an exchange because we are opening a new class ( section européenne d'anglais) next year; there will be 20 pupils in that class ; but for the time being, I think I'll have many more pupils willing to to write to friends overseas; I have about 65 pupils in my own classes . I am going to ask them whether they are interested or not and I 'll let you know as soon as possible.

Hello Sylvie! I was glad to hear from you! I have a pen pal assignment coming up (we write letters every six weeks) and I will be glad to send you a portion of our next letters, sometime in February. I sent pen pal letters a long time ago to France, but lost contact with that teacher. I am, in fact, traveling to France this summer, spending time in Normandy and Paris! For the letters, I give the students the pen pal assignment, then collect them about five days after the assignment. I collect the letters and my students address an envelope which they place their letter in. I then send all the letters at once in a box along with a photo CD of my students and scenes from around the school. You can give your students a letter (or more if you have less students than I do) and they can use the envelopes to reposnd to my students. Or, another, faster way is for you to do the assignment as I have, and send all the ltters at once. I have my students contribute a certain number of postage stamps at the beginning of the year so they help pay for the postage. Either way is fine with us. So, does this sound like something you'd like to share with our class? How many students do you have? I look forward to hearing from you!
