My name is Evelyne , I am a 42 year-old woman, I am married and I have 3 children. I’ve been teaching English in France for 22 years now. I am currently teaching in a school located in Saint Héand which is a small and quiet village one hour’s drive from Lyon and 3 hours from Paris by train.. It’s called “Collège Joseph Collard” and the address is “La Ronzière”. Our students are nice and well-bred kids, they like learning English and they are dying to go to the USA.
I am really fond of my job and I always try and find ways of making my teaching attractive. For the past five years, I’ve been in touch with a teacher in New Jersey and I had the opportunity to go there three times with a bunch of 21 9th graders and spend a week in your amazing country. Each French student had an American pen pal who hosted him so he could go to school with him and get to know the American way of life. It’s been such an unforgettable and amazing experience!
Unfortunately, my American partner is retiring at the end of the year and I’m looking for another school willing to work on that twinning with our school. Of course, we would also be delighted to welcome your students in our school and in our French families. A trip to an English speaking country is scheduled every 2 years in our school . Since we went to New Jersey in 2007, the next one would be planned in 2009.
