I’m looking to establish an international pen pal relationship for my students that will last the length of the school year (September-June). Although I lead a small group of 6 students, I could partner with another teacher in my school to accommodate a class of a larger size, if needed. Out goal would be to send handwritten letters/packages back-and-forth with our pen friends throughout the course of the year. I came across your post looking for a pen-pal class and noticed that you have a small group of six students. I also have exactly six students! I know you mentioned that you were originally interested in an international pen-pal exchange, but I wanted to see if you might be interested in connecting your New Jersey students with our students here in Texas. I would love for our students to exchange handwritten letters throughout the school year and learn about one another's school, state, community, traditions, and everyday life. I think it would be a wonderful way for them to practice authentic letter writing while also learning about another part of the country.
