We are looking to broaden the minds of our students and ourselves as well through finding pen-pals! We just started up a multi-cultural unit in our class and our students are eager to learn about cultures and traditions around the world. We are working to promote tolerance, acceptance, and encourage our diverse group of children to find a connection with others around the world. We would love the opportunity to be pen-pals with students from any country. Our 28 students are ages 8-9 and speak English. We will reply to any messages if you provide an email. They start learning English. There are 22 students. They could write letters in English and your students could write in English or in French if they study it. I think this project could be an excellent way to motivate students to learn a foreign language. Sharing with native speakers is very important for motivation.
