We are reading a book called I Will Always Write Back, and having a penpal will be a great opportunity for them to experience what the author experienced during her 8th grade year with her pen pal. We live in a suburb outside of Chicago, Illinois, and it is a close-knit community. Our students actually attend the same school from kindergarten through eighth grade. It is also a very diverse community, so your students would learn a lot!

I have recently started teaching German and am interested in setting up some penpals with students in Germany. I teach two Grade 6 classes ( 11/12 years old) the students haven't been learning very long but I have some students who are very interested in having penpals to practise their language skills.
