118711 - from Erin (USA) - 2017-09-27 Middle school : "Looking for Penpals" Hello, I teach 5th and 6th grade students (ages 10-12) and we are looking to correspond with other children their age from all over the world. My hope is they will be able to create lifelong friendships, learn about other cultures and of course practice writing skills. I would prefer to write actual letters versus e-mail, so please let me know if you're interested.

I'm teaching English in a middle school in a town named Meaux (close to Paris). 118870 - Reply from Aurèle (France) - 2017-10-03 Hi Erin I'm Aurèle from Burkina Faso (West Africa). I teach pupils of 5th grade ( 10/ 11 years old), in a french school. I have 25 students. Since Burkina is an ex french colony the local language is french. Still I teach English language twice a week ( in addition to other subjects). I'm interested to give my students penpals in English and to exchange about the local specificities, our culture... I see you are more interested by actual letters. It's difficult for us because the local post service is very slow and not really reliable... So mail is easier. Please tell me if a correspondance with us could interest you. Best wishes Aurèle
