I would like for them to learn about various cultures around the world. I would like to exchange letters through the mail. I can begin in September and I would like for this to last all year long. 118111 - Reply from Mélanie (France) - 2017-09-08 Hi, I'm an English teacher from Normandy in France and I am currently responsible of 1 class of 32 students in Year 7 (they are 11 years old), 2 classes of 17 students in Year 8 (12 years old) and 2 classes of 18 students in Year 9 (13 years old). They are very curious about the USA and the English language, they would love to have American penpals. I have organized an exchange last year with 2 schools in England, my students can write letters / emails in English and receive letters from your students in French. They learn how to talk about their everyday life (family, activities, weather, subjects at school) in Year 7 and are also able to talk about the society and school in year 9. I'd like to set up a penpal programme with my two 6th Grade classes (about 50 students aged 10-11). I was thinking of sending actual individual letters or postcards, but also if possible videos and collective/class questions about the American school system...anything, really! 116875 - Reply from anne (France) - 2017-07-21 hello I'm a teacher in primary school (St Quentin-en-Yvelines) near Versailles (10 min by car) and Paris (30 min). i teach all topics (math, French, sciences, ....) and English to my 23 pupils (age 10) and my colleague (she has 26 pupils 9 years old). If you are interested in exchanging with our pupils plesae get in contact with me (wa have a blog, we send post cards...).
