: "Middle School PenPals needed for cultural/language enrichment!"

I will be teaching 6th and possibly 7th grade students in the coming school year. I teach struggling readers and writers in small class groups. It is my hope to encourage the growth and development of proper communication skills and provide a unique cultural experience for my students. Global Language is now one of the many areas in which we will be assessed as a school. I would love for my students to be able to communicate with someone their age who is learning English as a second language. Please, let me know if your class would like to be PenPals with mine!

- I will be teaching 25-30 students.
- English communications only.
- Many of my students are struggling readers.
- I have limited knowledge of Japanese & Spanish but am open to all languages!

Hello ! I'm from France in the centre of Paris a very nice school and I teach English to 13-15 years old students (=classe de 3ème en collège et 4ème ). I would like to find penpals for my future students, for September 2017, if possible either in the US, Canada or Australia or South Africa(as these countries are studied all year long) The idea is to find a penpal for each student (there will be 25 or 32 students in my four classes). The exchange will be made via both emails and snail mail (so as to make students study the format of a letter/postcard and improve their use of internet). This project includes collective emails/letters and individual exchange. Themes of writing can be : the educational system (similarities and differences ; school uniform, if any), habits and ways of life, discovering another culture (traditional bank holidays, music...) I'm opened to any other suggestions to complete the mail/letter exchange. If anybody is interested, please let me know !

Hi, Tasha!
I am an English teacher in a small village in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, Spain. This school year I will teach students aged 11 to 16. I don't know the number yet, but for sure I will have a higher number than yours. I would like my students to have email exchange to have a real contact with english speaking teenagers.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Fátima

Hi! We are French and I teach English to 14-15 years old pupils starting "collège" which is middle school in France. They've been learning English for 3 years though their written English is usually very basic. So I'd like for them to write by snail mail, postcards or e-mail( whatever fits!)small recording videos if you want to other students their age whose mother tongue is English. I need approx 32 pupils to pair each kid with a different penfriend and this for 4 classes (one is smaller about 20 pupils )
our school is located live just in the centre of Paris and our school web site is wonderful have a look!sainteclotilde.net .
Please let me know if your are interested so that we can start ASAP.
Today is back to school in France, so to everyone, good Back to School!

Hello,
I am interested in your ad. I'm teaching English in a secondary school in the East of France 50 km away from Strasbourg. This year I will have 2 classes of 11-12 years old of approximately 25 students. I have already exchanged with another Canadian school 2 years and I am looking forward to exchanging again with Canada.
I hope to hear from you
Anne-Sophie

Hi Tasha,

I'm interested with your project. I'm primary school teacher (pupils of 10-11 years old) and they're learning English. I want them to practise "in real life" and discover more about culture.
Let me know if you're still looking for penpals.
