103897 - from Dorely (USA) - 2015-06-07 : "Spanish-English Exchange" Hello, My name is Dorely. I am a high school teacher in New Jersey. We are located just 25 minutes from NY City. I teach honors Spanish IV, and my students are really interested in a possible exchange program with a high school in Spain. We are also looking for a group of students between the ages of 17 going to 18, since they would love to learn from their culture, life and studies in a similar age. Our honors students are highly motivated kids who know that learning the Spanish language is a key for their personal and professional success in today's world. I would like to have the students exchanging conversations using the email and Skype in September with the beginning of the new school year 2015-2016. If you have a group of students with similar interests, and you are serious about a possible exchange, please email me to start right away a plan of how can we get our students involved in a educational learning through themes of common interest for both groups. Mi nombre es Aurora y acabo de leer tu mensaje en el foro de studentsoftheworls.info y, aunque es antiguo, me preguntaba si aún buscas un centro español para iniciar un programa de intercambio. Nuestro colegio es un centro privado situado en una preciosa urbanización a las afueras de Madrid. Nuestros estudiantes cursan allí todas las etapas educativas dentro de un programa bilingüe español-inglés así que su nivel suele ser bastante bueno. Actualmente estamos buscando un centro en EE.UU con el que iniciar un programa de hermanamiento e intercambio para dar a conocer nuestro idioma y cultura y permitir que nuestros alumnos amplíen también sus horizontes. Indeed, I am going to pass on your proposal to my bosses so fingers crossed. Our kids are under pressure during this year school because they have to take the university entrance examination at the beginning of June.
