100578 - from Elizabeth (USA) - 2014-09-09 Middle school : "Spanish Pen Pals" Hello! I am a Spanish teacher in Chicago, Illinois, USA looking to exchange letters between a Spanish speaking country. My students know beginning/intermediate Spanish. I have 70 students in each grade ranging from 10 to 14 years old. I would prefer to have each student have a pen pal, but we could also write one letter to the class and send pictures/souvenirs (recuerdos). Email if this interests you! We could begin at any time. They are 13-15 years old, and they have quite a good level, intermediate, some better than others. They are really looking forward to having a pen pal.We live in Madrid. I can split the class, I'm looking for pen pals for all of them, but it doesn´t have to be from the same class or country at all.

100931 - Reply from Gloria Mateos (Spain) - 2014-09-21 Hello Elisabeth I am a Spanish teacher of English in a primary school in a town near Cordoba. I also teach English to the first two years of ESO (secondary education in Spain, as you know) My students have been learning English from a very early age, but they need a motivation, like making new pen pals to became really interested on English language learning. My idea is to organise an email exchange among the students but in English as well as in Spanish, so that everyone get a benefit from this experience I have got 25 students over 12-13 years old and 20 students over 13-14 years old.
