August 7 - August 13
August 7, 2011 Sunday

This was my casual day.

In the morning I had to do math as usual. I wasn't scared of the larger numbers anymore so math was a breeze. Then I set off to do my blog. It was one of the shortest entries of all of my blogs!

***********************

After that I watched some videos of Super Smash Flash 2 fighting. My favorite was when Ichigo used his Bankai and beats up sonic!

After Super Smash Flash 2, my dad finished his workout so we went out to play soccer. I earned a dollar. Wahoo!

***********************

When my dad and I got back inside it was time to play the best game on the planet: Super Smash Flash 2! Once I played Ichigo against 3 other players on one team. As Ichigo, I was the only person on the other team. Once they all started attacking an item that allowed me to use the Bankai, I rushed at it as fast as I could but Naruto, a player on the other team, got to it first. And all madness released. First he shot several beams at me but I leaped over them. Then he turned into a monster and knocked me out. I struck back and took the power from him but then Link, the third person on their team, took it from me. I managed to avoid being hit by Link's fast sword. Then finally my arch enemy, Goku, got the power, tried to waste all his power by throwing a huge ball of beam at me. However, I jumped over it and knocked him out! Finally I used the Bankai on Link and Naruto. Link was basically destroyed while Naruto was knocked out because of my amazing reflexes.

************************

Then after dinner my dad and I watched and Godzilla.

See ya!

August 8, 2011 Monday

Hello! This was my day.

In the morning I had to do my math, as usual. The only thing that wasn't usual was the math problems that dad created for me. There were some pretty hard ones but I survived. Then the time to blog came. It had quite a few things needed correction and I fixed them.

*********************************

Then I watched Bleach where Ichigo fought Grimmjow Jaggerjack. My favorite part was when Ichigo put on his mask and fought Grimmjow to the death! I didn't have time to finish watching the video so I had no ideas who won.

*********************************

Then I started drawing a comic about Ichigo vs a guy I created. I was just finishing up the title page when my mom told my dad to go outside. So my dad and I went out to play some soccer. I made one save that was very painful because I almost did the splits, and still managed to kick the ball into the bush. Boy, did it hurt!

*********************************

When we got back in I drew a bit more then looked at the clock...it was time for the most exciting part of the day. 4:00pm! I played Super Smash Flash 2! Once I was Ichigo fought against Goku who was at his highest level.

Then he unexpectedly turned into... SS Goku! (no ideas what SS Goku was) He kept shooting beams at me but I kept leaping over them. Suddenly, he teleported behind me but I was ready. I slashed him with my sword and gave him a well deserved K.O.

*********************************

After dinner my dad and I watched Armagedeon. I liked the movie all right but I didn't agree with something in it. They said if they put a nuclear warhead into an asteroid, it would split the asteroid down the middle therefor it would miss hitting the earth. I believe there were two problems. Number one problem, the chances of the warhead to split the asteroid perfectly down the middle is 1:100. Even if they could split the asteroid, there was a second problem. The split asteroid would go through the keyhole and come back to hit the earth in seven years! It's complicated so if you have no ideas what I am talking that's okay. Or you can watch the show Known Universe.

So much of my scientific theories. Will talk more next time. Hasta manana! (This is Spanish meaning "see you tomorrow").

August 9, 2011 Tuesday

Hello! This was my day.

In the morning I had to do math and blogging as usual.

***************************************

But the rest of my day wasn't usual. My mom and I went to the Cochrane Humane Society!

We went there to sign me up for a summer camp to learn about animals. When we were done with the paper work, we went to check out the animals. First we went to see the cats. At that point, a cat named Silly was my favorite. But when we went to see the kittens, I changed my mind. My new favorite was an orange Tabby! It was so cute! She started licking my fingers when I played with her. For whatever reason, her tongue felt funny, almost tickling, on my fingers when she licked. But whenever I stuck my third finger in her cage she would nibble on it. It hurt a little but, in a way, felt nice.

I don't know how long I stayed there, but what I do know is that I really want that kitten. Anyways, I did some research about cats tongue and this is what I've found:

The rough, prickly feline tongue is a tool cats have used for centuries. Kitty's tongue is covered with tiny hook-like barbs called papillae. These barbs are placed on the tongue pointing backwards, and cats use their tongues to remove feathers or fur from their prey and to lick meat from the bones. They also use them to groom. A cat's tongue mimics a spoon when drinking -- enabling her to lap up liquids in quantity, swallowing after every third or fourth lap.

* * * * * * *

Then we went to see the dogs. Well, that was a different story. One of the dogs that was let out of his cage jumped on me, nearly knocked me over. He probably was very excited because he got let out. When we went to check out the rest of the dogs in cages, we came across some adorable puppies! Not sure what breed but my mom thought they were: border collie/terrier crosses, cool! One of them started barking and my mom said to it "no", it stopped for a moment. When he barked again my mom said "no" again, and he stopped again only for a very short time. He kinda understood, but the idea of having to stop didn't sink in. My mom said it would take much longer for puppies this young to learn proper behaviors.

*********************************

When we got home my dad and I played with Nerf guns. First we started shooting at each other then we settled for target practice. We kept trying to knock down a very heavy target ( anold Pokemon toy that I no longer played with) but couldn't take it down.

*********************************

Then, it was time to play the best game on earth... Super Smash Flash 2! Once I was Ichigo and fought against sonic, I hit him in the stomach and all of a sudden he turned into Super Sonic! Wow! Glitch! He kept saying: "Take this!" and turning into a ball that ran me over. It was hard to fight him because he kept turning into a ball and he was very annoying!

*********************************

After dinner my dad and I watched the movie "2012". My favorite character was Adrian, a bright scientist, who talked to the Prime Minster about the catastrophe. After the movie my dad and I did some more target practice.

That's all I have to say. Come back for more of my exciting blog tomorrow!

August 10, 2011 Wednesday

Hello this was my day.

In the morning, I had to do math. The problems were pretty hard, and I got a bit confused. When math was finally over I went to do my blog. It was much easier than doing all that math!

****************************************

When my jobs were done, my dad and I did some target practice with our NERF guns.

We were on our stomach when aiming at those plastic targets on the floor. When I tried to get up from shooting and suddenly I felt pain in my chest. My mom came to check on me and concluded that I pulled a muscle or something like that. She put ice on my chest and asked me to rest until I was better. Later, my dad and I played soccer but we didn't play for long because he worried that I might get hurt again. After that we went inside and did some more target practice because I was feeling better by then.

****************************************

Then it was time for the most exciting game on the planet... Super Smash Flash 2! I was Ichigo up against Mega man. I threw a Poke'ball and out came a Pokemon.

I don't really like doing this but I did it anyway. The dragon-like thing flew over to Mega man and started breathing fire on him. Mega man couldn't counter this unless he had a Pokemon too. But he didn't so he got knocked out.

****************************************

Then after dinner my dad and I watched Iron man 2. You know the Canadian rating is PG!

See ya!

August 11, 2011 Thursday

Hello! This was my good day.

In the morning I had to do math. It was boring, hard and it took FOREVER to finish it. Then I moved on to blogging. It was a lot easier than having to do the horrible subject math!

******************************

The good news was... we were going to the Calgary Humane Society after math! The facility was much bigger than the Cochrane Humane society. But my mom and I thought that the people were nicer at Cochrane. The wait at the Calgary Humane Society was long. Finally it was our turn and that one lady said she'd be back in a minute but she never came back. We did have some good laughs at a dog named Maximus. We expected to see a huge dog but instead, we found a small Chihuahua.

When we headed out we were pretty disappointed because we didn't even get to touch any animals.

******************************

When we were finally home my mom suggested that we should go to the Cochrane Humane Society again in the afternoon. While she was making bread, my dad and I played some target practice with our NERF guns. Then my mom swooped in and took me to Cochrane.

******************************

I was happy to see the orange Tabby again and I found out it was not a girl. It was a boy... Doh!

Its name was Caden. I played with Caden again and this time I got to hold the cat. I really wanted to adopt Caden but they told me that Caden was on hold for someone. There was another kitten named Charlie, a very playful one. Unfortunately, it was also taken. I still wanted to adopt another kitten but my mom came to a horrible conclusion, while I was playing with the Kittens, that I might have a very mild skin allergic reaction to cats. I was really sad when she said that. Mom said we didn't know for sure but I still worried. Then we went to the Cheesecake cafe (Which is now called Al's) for dinner.

******************************

When we finally got home I watched Ghost busters with my dad.

August 12, 2011 Friday

In the morning, I crawled out of bed, ate my breakfast, then went to finish the dreadful subject... Math! I was overwhelmed by the number of problems; I nearly fainted. But thanks to my dad I made it out, alive! Then I bounded up to do my blog. It was quite easy compared to the brain draining subject math!

*************************************

When math was done, my dad and I played with NERF guns. We had some target practice with old Pokemon toys. Once I took out a really small guy but he flipped before bouncing back up! We played for a very long time.

**************************

Once we looked at the clock, we realized if we didn't go outside immediately we would never get to. So we hurried outside to play some soccer. When that was finally over we did a little more NERF gun target practice but, guess what? It was the most exciting part of the day... 4:00pm!

**************************

Instead of playing Super Smash Flash 2!, I set off to find another game on the computer. What I found was very cool... Myth Wars! It was a game where you're either a good or bad army, and you set off to win all the battles against the computer default army.

This is how to play it,: just click on an icon that represents a certain warrior that you want. You send him out to battle and there you are in the game! You keep sending out troops until you run out of men! You also get gold, and you use your gold to get other more cool troops. But these aren't just any old troops, they are zombies, Griffins, skeletons Lizard men, and the list goes on and on.

In the first battle, I faced off the good army because I represented the bad guys, I sent out a couple of zombies and Skeletons which were quickly beaten so they retreated to base. Then I sent out a lot more guys and made the ratio 2:1 so all of the enemy troops were killed. Then there was no defense at the enemy base, So I destroyed their castle. And the screen said: Win the battle. I won!

******************************

After dinner my dad and I watched The Hunt For The Red October.

See ya!

August 13, 2011 Saturday

In the morning our family went some places special: Home depot and Chinatown! At the Home Depot workshop I built a pencil box I did pretty good because I pretty much built it all by myself. I got even better at nailing stuff with a hammer than last time.

Then we headed to get LRT tickets to go to Chinatown. Unfortunately We couldn't figure our way in to the LRT parking lot first. We finally did but my dad said we should walk instead parking there! Where's the logic in that? So we took the car home then we walked, walked, and walked until we got to the place where we validated our tickets. Boy, was that a long walk! When on the LRT, I saw a bunch of weird people. When we finally got off the train I sure was happy.

*************************

In Chinatown, there were lots of booths with people doing things. The first thing I went to was the street hockey challenge. It was a game that if you could hit a toy with a hockey stick and a ball and you got that toy! I hit the ball with the hockey stick and it barely touched the toy but it was good enough and I earned myself a toy.

Then we continued on and did a whole bunch of other activities. Check out these awesome pictures:

**************************************************

Then it was time to watch some performances! My favorite performance was Mo Fan Wusu (martial arts) Academy! They were all very good but I particularly liked a guy in red because he looked like the Shaolin Monk from Deadliest Worrier.

Here are some more pictures:

Individual and group performance

****************************************

When the martial arts performance was over, it was time for lunch, not just any lunch, but it was food from the Calgary Street Festival. You can just pay cash for the food. We had to first purchase some tickets and used the tickets to exchange for food at the vendors. For whatever reason, everything was spicy and Hot, yet very good. Then we went into Eau Claire Market where I saw a lot of funny magnets. My favorite was the one with Cookie Monster looking at the computer, with his mouth wide open, saying "Delete Cookies?!" Poor Cookie Monster! Another one that I really liked was a picture of a bunch of Jawas floating in the water underneath a woman. On top it said "JAWAS" instead of "JAWS".

Then we went to the Chinese Cultural Center to see the gift shop. I saw an awesome sword that was double sided and had snakes coiling around the handle. I finally got to pick up a cool sword!

***************************

Then we walked back on the LRT station to go home. While on the way home my mom showed me the pictures that she took of our fun day. When we returned to crowfoot station we had to walk a long way home. It was very hot and we were extremely tired. We were dying to get under shades so we ran from shade to shade then walked very slowly under a small tree. Once we were out in the sun again, we dashed for another small tree. That made our brutal walk a little bit more endurable.

***************************

When we got home I was going to play a game that was the most exciting part of my day, it was 4:00pm! I played Myth Wars again. It was really cool! In one battle I used a Griffin to destroy two enemy boats but it was killed. Then all of a sudden I realized: I just sent a Griffin against a whole army instead of just two boats! The next time, instead of sending just out one, I sent twelve of them and a pirate ship for backup. By doing so, we managed to break through the first wave of enemies. Unfortunately my pirate ship got hit by the enemy's air attacks. My ship and my Griffins couldn't stand the assault so tried to flee but were shot down, leaving my base helpless. I lost the battle so I couldn't get up to the next level! Bummer!

***************************

After dinner my dad and I watched a movie, "The Day The Earth Stood Still".

See ya!
