Hello! This was my day.
In the morning I had to do math and blogging as usual.

But the rest of my day wasn't usual. My mom and I went to the Cochrane Humane Society!
We went there to sign me up for a summer camp to learn about animals. When we were done with the paper work, we went to check out the animals. First we went to see the cats. At that point, a cat named Silly was my favorite. But when we went to see the kittens, I changed my mind. My new favorite was an orange Tabby! It was so cute! She started licking my fingers when I played with her. For whatever reason, her tongue felt funny, almost tickling, on my fingers when she licked. But whenever I stuck my third finger in her cage she would nibble on it. It hurt a little but, in a way, felt nice.
I don't know how long I stayed there, but what I do know is that I really want that kitten. Anyways, I did some research about cats tongue and this is what I've found:
The rough, prickly feline tongue is a tool cats have used for centuries. Kitty's tongue is covered with tiny hook-like barbs called papillae. These barbs are placed on the tongue pointing backwards, and cats use their tongues to remove feathers or fur from their prey and to lick meat from the bones. They also use them to groom. A cat's tongue mimics a spoon when drinking -- enabling her to lap up liquids in quantity, swallowing after every third or fourth lap.

Then we went to see the dogs. Well, that was a different story. One of the dogs that was let out of his cage jumped on me, nearly knocked me over. He probably was very excited because he got let out. When we went to check out the rest of the dogs in cages, we came across some adorable puppies! Not sure what breed but my mom thought they were: border collie/terrier crosses, cool! One of them started barking and my mom said to it "no", it stopped for a moment. When he barked again my mom said "no" again, and he stopped again only for a very short time. He kinda understood, but the idea of having to stop didn't sink in. My mom said it would take much longer for puppies this young to learn proper behaviors.

When we got home my dad and I played with Nerf guns. First we started shooting at each other then we settled for target practice. We kept trying to knock down a very heavy target ( anold Pokemon toy that I no longer played with) but couldn't take it down.

Then, it was time to play the best game on earth... Super Smash Flash 2! Once I was Ichigo and fought against sonic, I hit him in the stomach and all of a sudden he turned into Super Sonic! Wow! Glitch! He kept saying: "Take this!" and turning into a ball that ran me over. It was hard to fight him because he kept turning into a ball and he was very annoying!

After dinner my dad and I watched the movie "2012". My favorite character was Adrian, a bright scientist, who talked to the Prime Minster about the catastrophe. After the movie my dad and I did some more target practice.
That's all I have to say. Come back for more of my exciting blog tomorrow!
