Ive been on a swim team since I was 5 (6 years of swimming!) Now im swimming around 5 hours a week. My swim practices are 2 hours Saturday, 2 hours Sunday and 1 hour Tuesday. Its exhausting and im always hungry after weekend practices. So heres my question for other competitive swimmers: whats your go-to before and after practice snack? |

Before training, I advise you to eat a cereal bar or compote at least 1 hour before your training. If you eat less than an hour before your training, you can eat some dried fruits such as almonds or walnuts. For after training if you train in the morning you can eat a cereal bar and a compote before going to class but if you train in the evening I advise you to eat a good plate of pasta and a little meat or proteins (in fact you can also eat rice, mashed potatoes, etc. to vary a little) don't hesitate to eat a lot because athletes expend a lot of energy and there fore need to recover it: by eating I hope this helped you ;) Bye |

2.there are many disciplines according to the techniques you do.
