it just depends on what part of the country as we have many different types of food over here, as N. Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England all have different traditional foods.
Like Scotland has haggis,Haggis is a traditional Scottish sausage made from a sheep's stomach stuffed with diced sheep's liver, lungs and heart, oatmeal, onion, sue (I've never had it but apparently its nice), England has fish and chips (with mushy peas, never allowed to forget the mushy peas XD), Wales have Bara Brith translates to 'speckled bread' and is a traditional Welsh fruit loaf made with tea, For N. Ireland I'd love to say beer and potatoes,they have Boxty a kind of potato pancake.
It all just depends on how the foods prepared, as they is nothing un healthy about potatoes, unless they've been deep fried or something. |

It would be very nice if someone could help me with my homeworks. I`ve the problem that I didn`t find mouch about the laws of smoking in other countries in the internet.
I have to find out: at which age you`re allowed to smoke, if you learn something about the danger of smoking (e.g. in school), what is on the packets of cigarettes (e.g photos)and if you`re allowed to smoke e.g. in restaurants.
That would be very, very nice.

So it's strange that many Germans are smokers.
Selling cigs is allowed to those who're aged at least 18 y.o.

| You cannot smoke in government offices, workplaces, bars, restaurants, cafés, shopping malls, schools, hospitals, and all forms of public transport.
There’re fines provided for those caught smoking + bar owners are responsible in such case.
But the law itself is relatively new. Before approximately 1998, there was no restriction like that.
Smoking advertising is not allowed. Through school education, youths are basically taught about dangers of smoking (biology lessons f.e.), yet it doesn't help much, due to generally wide traditions of smoking in our society.
I haven't been to Germany myself and cannot judge of how does it look there, but i've heard from many people that smoking is rather popular in Germany, compared to many other European countries (such as Scandinavia). In Sweden or Norway, it's relatively scarce to see young people smoking, but in many clips related to German highschools, they show us such pictures and etc. |

But unfortunately our country is a very smoking one, even if something gets improved slowly... Almost everybody does smoke in our family, only my mother doesn't but everybody smoke in front of me and her and it's sad. |

| Holi Festival
One of the major festivals of India, Holi is celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety on the full moon day in the month of Phalgun which is the month of March as per the Gregorian calendar.
Preparations
Entire country wears a festive look when it is time for Holi celebration. Market places get abuzz with activity as frenzied shoppers start making preparations for the festival. Heaps of various hues of gulal and abeer can be seen on the roadside days before the festival. Pichkaris in innovative and modern design too come up every year to lure the children who wish to collect them as Holi memorabilia and of course, to drench everybody in the town.
Great excitement can be seen in people on the next day when it is actually the time for the play of colours. Shops and offices remain closed for the day and people get all the time to get crazy and whacky. Bright colours of gulal and abeer fill the air and people take turns in pouring colour water over each other. Children take special delight in spraying colours on one another with their pichkaris and throwing water balloons and passers by. Women and senior citizen form groups called tolis and move in colonies - applying colours and exchanging greetings. Songs, dance on the rhythm of dholak and mouthwatering Holi delicacies are the other highlights of the day. |
