When I was with my cousins,we were in a park fishing with the ducks using sticks when a thunderstorm started and we hid under a tree. All of a sudden a rat ran across and me and my cousins chased it!! My aunt went haywire and started screaming!! |

A Couple months ago, one of the rats started to get small scabs on his neck and middle back, and I was really scared about him. I didn't really want to go to the vet because I knew it was going to cost a lot so I just researched what to do (bathe almost everyday, clean cage a little more and don't give him any grains). So after a month or so, IT FINALLY WENT AWAY and I was so happy! ahhh, i've never really told anyone the full story before lol. Hows life? My day was pretty good today, and yesterday, I had basically no work at school because it was the day before thanksgiving break which was great definitely in high school. |

To those who love rats, and want one, I have some tips. First, write a cute letter on reasons why your parents should let you get a rat. Give them the letter, have them read it, and discuss it. Second, write down facts about rats. Third, write down things they can eat, and can't eat. You need to show your parents that you know what they can eat and what they shouldn't eat, so you can make sure they know you can feed it and care for it's health. Fourth, go to the nearest spot where lots of people go to. Like a supermarket, where people get food, and they go there often. That is somewhere where people will notice you. Ask the manager if you can set up a table for donations for a rat. Tell him or her that you want to help rats without a home. Give the donation service a cool name. When you get lots of money, go to a animal shelter and donate money to the rats for supplies. Fifth, get a job to take care rats. Always make sure you know the person before going to their house. It could be for a friend, neighbor, or reletive. When they go away, ask them if you could occasionally come and take care of the rat. That will show your parents you can take care of the pet. The customer may ask you some questions about you. Always answer correctly, or you might do things you can't do, and hurt the rat. You want to treat it like a baby. | We had rats for 3 years there names were Sid and Nancy. Sid died of old age. Nancy just died.And those were are rats.
we had like 3000 but we sold them to a pet store maybe not 3000 but I would have to say more like 300. I have 5 dogs now and one cha-weiner just had puppies. So now we have 8. |

I've had lots of Ratties. They are an amazing pet. My latest is a sweet old girl named V. She is hairless with one black eye and one red eye and dumbo ears. She freaks a lot of people out but I think she's cute. |

I have 2 rats. They are brothers and one of them is called Spike who is black with a white spot on his head and then there is Flash who is tan also with a white spot on his head!
This is my 1st time on this website and my 1st time as a rat owner, my rats are very spoilt though because as well as having their regular rat food they love a little bit of toast and jam in the mornings and a little of our meal in the eveings!

| | That's not necessary. Rats are scavangers. They eat what they can find. You don't need to give your rat less sugar or whole wheat bread. In the wild they would take what ever they could get. I have 3 pet rats that love chocolate. I don't feed them lots of it but I give it as a treat. They are fine and healthy. |

Rats are SO cool!! i have three right now, all female. I have had MANY over the years. They are very friendly and love to ride on my shoulder. xD Right now I have Mandy and Dusk, two adults, and a little baby named Streak. I just adore their beady eyes. If you do not have a pet rat please get one. I find them so cute. Even the tail doesn't gross me out. |

I have 3 rats currently, the eldest one is 2years 7months and shes called moo, shes the sweetest thing but quite ill now. Shes just developed a cateract (cant spell it lol) and has lost the use of her back legs. Poor old lady. She is also a spoilt little brat lol far too used to being out of the cage with me honestly she would stay out 24/7 if i knew i wouldnt role ontop of her at some point. she also refuses to eat rat food so has what we eat lol. I had a black and white rat with her but unfortunatly i had to have her put down because she had cancer
With moo now i have an albino called red who is 7months ish old, shes lovely but podgy already, shes in charge of the pack! lol and clap who is black and white, same age and very territorial with her nesting! |

My second rat is Nali she looks like a savage rat because she is brown and a little bit more impressive than criquette ^^ but she 's so caline.
They are two years old.
I had eight rats before but they died indeed rats don't live for a long time....

I used to have two rats named Sweetie and Punkin. I was so sad when they died but, there were a lot of advantages against them being gross and all that stuff. First of all, rats are so cute and cuddly, and they even do well with dogs. But the thing was they only lived two to three years, but I made the best of it and they like to chew on stuff in the house, like the buttons on your remote. They were really nice and they didn't bite or anything. So now, after experiencing having rats they've become my favorite animals and I hope you've gotten a few tips on rats the next time you'd like to get one at the pet store. Rats |
