I've wanted to be a pilot in the Coast Guard my entire life. My father and brother both flew C-130 Hercules and hopefully it will be my turn soon. If the Coast Guard doesn't work out, I want to go Navy. However, being 6'3 and growing... I don't know if I can fit in many cockpits :( |

| | Yeah with that height you would pry only be able to get into the bigger aircraft, but hey the Herc's are some nice airframes to go into. If I don't go fighters I'm pry looking at B-52s or if I get really lucky B-2s. |

Salut, pour ceux ou celles qui veulent devenir pilote et qui n'ont pas l'argent, vous pouvez passer par le service militaire. Il vous paye vos études en échange de 10 ans de travail chez eux. Mais si vous ne voulez pas être militaire, vous pouvez toujours les remboursé plus tard quand bous aurez les moyens pour vous aquité de votre dette. Et sachez que les personnes qui passe par le service militaire sont plus recherchés que ceux qui ont fait les grandes écoles (^-^) |

| | Sauf que les critères de sélections pour devenir pilote militaires sont beaucoup plus poussés que ceux du civil, sur 30 candidats participant aux sélections, environs 3,4 sont pris et peuvent leurs formations de pilotes. Sachant que tu peut te faire viré si tu ne progresse pas assez vite. Si ton rêve est de piloté dans le civil commence a entamé des stages de formation comme le BIA (Brevet d'Initiation Aéronautique) qui t’apprennent des bases de pilotages Ensuite tu peut toucher des subvention pour payer des qualification comme l'IFR ou carrément pour passer une licence de pilote privé. Normalement pour passer le BIA tu ne paye que 50 euros pour financer ton vol. |

| | Parents will be like that.... best way to convince them or at least make them realize your mind is made up is by planning it out. Like for me I either want to fly Hornets for the Navy or A10s for the Air Force, but those are now being retired so I'm looking at the F15s, so I either want to go to one of the service academies or somewhere with the respective branches ROTC that way I go into whichever service as an officer and am able to go into flight school for the respective airframes right away instead of enlisting, having to get to a specific rank in order to take Officer Candidate School or Officer Training school depending on the branch which would take at least a few years, and then going and applying to flight school with a lesser chance of being accepted. Another thing that helps is looking at the survival rates for the specific airframe you want to fly and showing it to them if it's a good number. |

The military is very selective, so you can be sure if you make the cut, you will be in the best of hands. Do whatever you aspire to do in life. |

I want to be an Air Force pilot flying the ULTIMATE jet... The F-22!
But, I'm not going to, so I could become a multimillionaire and buy a Sukhoi Su-27.
You can buy them for between 2 and 15 million dollars. Google Sukhoi Su-27 for sale if you don't believe me. (Pretty big variable in the price, huh?)
There's also the L-39. Which is good. And cheap, too. You can get a freshly refurbished one for roughly $300,000 USD. |

| I also want to be a fighter pilot, albeit in the US Air Force. I absolutely love the thrill of being in a fast aircraft high in the sky, and I want to make it my lifelong career. The studies are long and difficult, as the military is extremely selective. But if you are dedicated, I'm sure you'll make it.
