Hey All, Currently I work as a Design Engineer ;) I design, manufacture and assemble machines ;) From my work experience I would like to tell you that there should be some skills so you can be a successful Inventor ;) :) 1- Communication skills, so you can speak with clients and record their needs accurately. 2- Technical background, it's not that you need to know all about everything.. only when you want to make some wood products that you will need to search for wood types and what is the best type for your purpose. 3- Creativity, so you can create new ideas not just copy from around. You're an Inventor not a Copier ;) ;) 4- Presentation Skills, so you can present your new products in a elegant way that the customer would like to buy your product. Good luck ;)
