: "email pen pals wanted"

Hi there, I teach a year 2(age 7-8 year olds)class in Alice Springs, central Australia. In January 2010 we will begin a multicultural unit of work and would love for my students to be able to correspond with students of a similar age. Please contact me if you have a class and would like to set something like this up.
Cheers
Deb

I'm looking for penpals for my third grade class. They are 8-9 years old. There are 23 in my class. We'd like to connect to a class in another country in order to learn about others and practice writing skills.

Let me know if you are interested.

Teri

Hi, I am a mother of a 2nd grader at Fullerton IV Elementary school in Roseburg, Oregon USA. They have read a book called Flat Stanley and our now sending their own cutout paper versions of him on adventures to friends from far away as possible. Our goal is to send him to someone who will keep a short journal of time that they spend with flat stanley and what local adventures and sights he sees on his trip (so that the 2nd graders can read about a place vastly different from where we live). Pictures are a bonus if we could get one of flat stanley at a local sight or adventure but anything descriptive and fun that the children would enjoy would be amazing. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in or not, his school will be mailing out flat stanleys this week.
Best regards & wishes,
Carly

Hi Deb
I also teach a year 2 class though over here they are 6 and 7 years old. We are following the IPC unit on media magic and part of that is to communicate with other children around the world both by email and by letter. We would love to become your penpals. if you are interested let me know at the above email address and we can set something up.
thanks for your time

Hi Deb,

I realise your post is from quite a few years ago,but I was wondering if you are still teaching grade 2 students. I have a grade 2-3 split class in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. We will be beginning a new social studies unit that asks us to compare the characteristics of daily life with in a community other than our own. I was hoping to set up a penpal program through either email or snail mail.

I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Jodi Honch, I have 12 grade 3 students and 9 grade 2's. I work in a community school which means these children come from tough homes and have very little luxury in their lives. If you would be interested in setting something up, please let me know.

Thanks for your time.
Jodi

Hi Deb:

I am teacher from Taiwan. I teach a aftercshool club called International
Culture Exchange Club. We have a project on web communication(web conference) with foreign schools. We would like to know if your class has a willing to exchange culture with us. I have only 8 students. What we do is set a topic once two or three weeks and we arrange a day to present to each other and ask questions. The details can be disscussed further.

Hello, good evening,
We are pupils, 9/11 years aged, of Saint-Exupery elementary school in Talence near Bordeaux (southern suburb). Bordeaux is a big town and an old harbour of the south west of France near Garonne river. The first wine-growing district and the biggest forest of France (forêt landaise) compose our landscape.
We are beginner students in english and we are searching pen friends around the world. We hope correspond with children of different way of life. You can answer in English or French may be. We would be also pleased with some drawings of you and of your school, class-room, landscape and so on...
We hope that you will be intersted in our project.
Friendly, have a good week, we wait for a reply, bye.

Hi. My daughter Emma is 7 years old, and would really like a penpal to help her writing. I would like for her to make a new friend, near her age.

Thank you!
