: "Pen pals wanted"

Hello my name is Andrew and I am a primary school teacher in Melbourne, Australia.

I have a class of 25 students aged between 10 and 12 years of age.

I am looking for someone who has a class of similar size and age (not any younger), to be penpals with. Initially it would be for snail mail and then later move on to emails, if that is possible. If you are interested please email me with your details. Would prefer a European or Scandinavian country if possible.
Thanks, Andrew

Hi,
I realize Canada may not have been your first choice as a location for snail mail penpals. However, if you change your mind, my grade 5 class would be very interested in corresponding with your class throughout the year. I have done this type of project over the years and found it to be very rewarding for everyone. Take care, Jim.

I'm an English teacher in Turkey, with students of 4th, 6th and 7th grades, 10 - 13 ages. I would prefer pen friendship first by letters, because all of these children haven´t got internet at home, and it would be a multidimensional, more beautiful, and effective experience for them. Then they can communicate in class where there are computers. Thanks.

Hello, good evening,
We are pupils, 9/11 years aged, of Saint-Exupery elementary school in Talence near Bordeaux (southern suburb). Bordeaux is a big town and an old harbour of the south west of France near Garonne river. The first wine-growing district and the biggest forest of France (forêt landaise) compose our landscape.
We are beginner students in english and we are searching pen friends around the world. We hope correspond with children of different way of life. You can answer in English or French may be. We would be also pleased with some drawings of you and of your school, class-room, landscape and so on...
We hope that you will be intersted in our project.
Friendly, have a good week, we wait for a reply, bye.

Hi Andrew
I'm teaching english in Denmark. In my class there´s 21 students in the age 11-13.
By the end of September we start to work with Australia as a subject and it would therefore be interesting to write with your class to get to know Australia and Australian better (I've been to Australia when I was younger and I think it's an abosolutely facinating country and so is the people living there!)
Maybe you and your students would like to know more about Denmark (and Scandinavia)?

Please write me

Have a nice summer.

Carina

Hi Andrew

Firstly, it says USA in country tab, as there doesn't appear to be a tab for England, Britain or even England lol!

We are a small, rural school, based in Derbyshire in the middle of England. Both my class of 19 Year 5 pupils and the Year 6 class above us are studying Australia this term and we would be delighted to twin with your school for this project and for general correspondence.

Thanks

Claire

Hi Andrew,
My name is Anne and I'm from Sweden. I have just started to teach a class of about 22 12 year-old students, both boys and girls. I'm really interested in having a similar class in Australia to correspond with on a regular basis, via e-mail and/or snail-mail! I think this is a perfect way of learning about cultures, traditions etc! If you're interested, keep in touch!

Hi Andrew!
I'm a French primary teacher and I have 10 to 11 years old pupils. They are 22. I'm looking for pen pals in Australia to help my pupils to write and speak English. They would be very happy to learn how kids live down under! We can send you post letters or e-mails. Our school is located in a beautiful village in the Western part of France. We have lots of things to share with you. Please, write us back!

Laure
