: "Pen pals from another country wanted"

I am a grade 6 (10-12 year olds) teacher in a primary school situated north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. My class are looking at investigating countries around the world beginning around April 23rd. Ideally, I would like the students to write to other students the same age from another class in a different culture so that they can share their understandings of their own culture/country and also learn about differing cultures/countries.
I myself am originally from England but spent much of my life travelling and/or working in the USA, Canada, The Caribbean, Greece, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the Pacific Islands before entering the teaching profession and I also enjoy learning about different cultures.

Hello, I'm an English teacher working in the North-East of France and I'm in charge of 4 classes: pupils from 9 to 14/15 and we would be really happy to exchange mails or letters with your pupils. I'm ready to work on school projects and we've already worked on Australia last year and it would be really interesting to exchange with Australian.

Hi Michael, I currentely teach a class of 19, Year 5 children, but both my class and the Year 6 class are studying Australia as a Creative Curriculum Topic this term. We would therefore be interested in twinning with your school for this [project and for general correspondence.

says "USA" on the country list, as there doesn't appear to be a tab for England, Britain or even UK lol!

We are a small, rural school, situated in the middle of England, in Derbyshire.
