Boulanger, Patissier : "Decorating cakes is so fun!"

 Hi everyone! Recently I decorated a cake with my friends, we did it like a beach and used crushed crackers for the sand, it was really cute. We also tried making a deck chair with wafers and it kinda worked out! It was really fun and easy to make. Does anyone have any easy creative ideas about decorating cakes without piping tips?

I sometimes like to make a 'sandwich' cake. The first layer is cake, the second layer is frosting, the third layer is jam, and the fourth layer is cake, and top it off with a ring of frosting again. No need to put buttercream on the outside.
