: "Looking for partners (International Friendship Day)"

Hi all educators. I am interested in a long term collaborative project for our students to work on. The theme is: Understanding other culture. I hope we could allow our students to have online correspondence and follow by a skype conference and then exchanges.
The time frame which I am looking at is from: April to July. We can do a pilot testing with a class or even 9 classes. My students are 12 to 13 years old and proficient in English Language/ Mandarin / Bahasa Melayu.

I am an Australian educator, specialising in Group Skype internationally, we have schools in Nairobi and Bungoma in Kenya. We have had group Skype between Manila and Nairobi and parents thought they could see a miracle but of course it was only in the marvels of technology, my voice recognition: Dragon allows students to not only see and read and hear my Oxford English voice reading, "everything that is written in this message" by commanding my Dragon to "read that" the software reads everything back to the students as often as the students require playing back my voice over and over again so that the student has time to perfect their copy of whatever is read, this can specialise in basic phonics from, "The cat sat on the mat." This can be projected onto a large screen for a large class of students in the country of Vietnam, the Philippines, the country of your choice.

Hello, Are you still interested in corresponding with students in another country? My students will be learning about South and East Asia in February 2011. I'd like to set up some sort of pen pal or skype discussion with you. Please let me know if you are interested.
