Chauve-souris : "Echo Location! the awome facts on bats hearing!!!"

Did you know bats special hearing technique is called "Echo Location?" say a moth is flying past. The bat has bad eyesight and can't see it. Put your hand about a inch away from your face. That's basically how much a bat can see. The bat hears the sounds from the moth bouncing off other objects, and is able to locate where the moth is, and eats the moth!!!

Bat species that eat insects are the ones that depend on echolocation since their eye sight is so bad. Fruit bats, however, have good eyesight. They are usually seen as 'cuter'. Probably because of their big eyes, which they use to look for delicious fruit at night :)
