128301 - de Richard (Pays-Bas) - 2020-09-15 Ecole Primaire : "Dutch English pen pals" Hello everybody! I'm a teacher in the Netherlands in the city of Utrecht. I teach a primary schoolclass of children in the age of 10 to 12. For English class I would like them to actually use what they learn, in practice. And what better way is there then to use it in a meaningful situation in which they write (and read) to children their own age. So I'm looking for a English junior class (teacher) with children around the age of 7 to 11 to engage an English correspondence with. I hope to hear from you! With kind regards, Richard Wiltjer

128765 - Réponse de Rebecca (USA) - 2021-02-16 Hi. I am a 4th and 5th grade GT teacher in Charleston, South Carolina in the USA. I teach academically gifted 4th & 5th graders (9-11 years old). We are reading the novels A Long Walk to Water and I Will Always Write Back. We would love to have penapals and learn about where they live and the similarities and differences in their lives and ours. I think this year with the global pandemic and our studies of the global water crisis it would be so amazing for my students to connect with other students around the world. We are open to writing letters and mailing them traditionally or sharing emails and communicating that way as well. Please contact me if you would be interested in being our penpals! 128325 - Réponse de Ania (Pologne) - 2020-09-18 Hi Richard, I would be interested, too. I teach kids aged 8, 10, 12 and 13 (different classes in four grades). We could exchange letters, postcards, small gifts etc. with one or more classes. My pupils are nice, creative and eager to write with their peers from other countries. I have different classes with different ages and levels. For example one of the junior classes are students and they are nice and eager to write about themselves and surroundings helped by me of course The school is CEIP LA PRADERA regards Isabel I can send you a letter with my principal's school stamp because I need one as a proof of identity for parents and educational authorities.
