Shanghai University (simplified Chinese: 上海大学; traditional Chinese: 上海大學; pinyin: Shànghǎi Dàxué) is a public, comprehensive university located in Shanghai, China. The university has named its chancellor Chien Wei-zang since 1982, who is a well-pronounced academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
