Commentcelasefesse? also known as CCSF?, is a very young French ska punk band coming from Nantes, born in May 2005, but really formed at the beginning of September 2006.
First of all it was a simple trip. Only two guys, two old pals, Maths-chan and Potatoe, who were trying to kill time that they passed to chill:
- I'll start guitar, say the first.
- Ok, then me, I will sing!
The adventure starts under this atypical formation, with only two members. As a good fan of "Les Betteraves", the musical orientation is quickly found and already very traced: that will be Débiloska-punk !
But time passes and more one thinks that being in a true band is very cool and class. They will pass long and desesperate moments to find other musicians and then to have the hope to give a new dimension to their small delirious project of the beginning. They finally recruit, at the end of 2005, Kazooo as a singer, a drummer, quickly baptized L'EluE because she got an enormous talent and another guitarist, Bouli. Potatoe will consequently put himself as a bassman (you are black, you have inevitably low at home ^^).This will be the first formation.
The first half of the year 2006, will be full of vexations… A dirty year like some says. Kazooo will leave the band besides. We wish him a good travel to find peace ;)
Summer 2006, CCSF? manages to fix itself around a stable line-up: L'EluE with the battery, Potatoe with the bass and Math and Bouli with the guitars. One sets out again on good bases! The group will even recruit a new member and finally obtains a horn section. Babar thus arrives, accompanied by his saxophone, and of course by his immense talent.
Always orphan of a voice since the departure of Kazooo, our valorous “ska-punkers” has finally the illumination! A name returns: “Bobby”. A long time friend, former singer in a now splitted ska/reggae band named "Dance Ska Là", it is the perfect profile. Bobby become the new Commentcelasefesse's singer at the beginning of September 2006…
The band is now complete *, and envies to share its music in front of a public becomes increasingly strong. November 2006, will remain forever in their memories when the 25 this month, the band plays its very first gig supporting The Last Standing. Many pains, waste, but the audience seems well and having fun. Perfect! They do not ask more and are now ready to destroy everything, anywhere !!
Recently, they set up with their pals of the Treillereins' band Axel Stone, a label, rather an associative “brothel” which should be enable them to multiply the chances to play while remaining humble and while having fun as much as possible.
With subjects as important as alcohol and drug (...), but also ethics in a healthy and well built life, as well as engagements more targeted against the climatic reheating or the drastic rules which each day are set by the powerful ones, the band defines its music as a loophole. The height of frustration reached at the time of their meeting again, in which they make pass all the malus accumulated in week… Little matters to them that the ska is not any more a fashion kind ! The band practises today a mixture of ska-punk with more or less keys marked of reggae and dub.
As they are relatively young (17 years and half average) the band only plays for fun. There is only one way for you simple mortals: listen to their music while singing into the night while drinking a lot (but without alcohol).
