Region of Murcia
The Region of Murcia is a Spanish uniprovincial community.
Located in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, between Andalusia and the Valencian Community and between the Mediterranean coast and Castilla-La Ma. Its capital is the city of Murcia.
The region is one of the produces a great amount of fruits, vegetables and flowers of Europe, counting with important vines in the municipalities of Jumilla, Bullas and Yecla, that produce wines with Denomination of Origin.
It also has an important tourist sector, concentrated on a coast with numerous virgin spaces and that has the salty lagoon of the Mar Menor.
Its industry stands out for the petro-chemical and energy sector and the food industry.
Its highest mountain in the region is in the Revolcadores Massif, at 2,015 meters above sea level.
