When learning the infinitives, it is important to remember the rules you need to follow if you wanted to change the context of the verb (I/He/She/It/We)
Voy a + INFINITIVE = I am going to ...
Vamos a + INFINITIVE = We are going to ...
Va a + INFINITIVE = He/She/It is going to ...
eg. Voy a + COMER = I am going to eat
Va a + COMER = He/She/It is going to eat
comer = to eat
beber = to drink
ir = to go
escuchar = to listen
leer = to read
ayudar = to help
comprar = to buy
buscar = to search/ look

When learning any spanish word, its easier if you make links between it and the english translation- that way it stick in your memory better.
eg. elegir sounds like elect as in election when you choose someone.
