it was in war with the dutch ,british and portugese people but the sri lankans fought back for there freedom
the kings and queens in sri lanka ruled the country correctly and according to the 'dasa raga dhamma' or the ten ways of correct ruling
at that time sri lanka was called the granery of the east because we had excellent harvest and our kings and queens built many tanks for the need of farmers
sri lanka had the best system of agriculture in the earlier days
each story about our dear kings and queens shows us that they were brave and put the needs country before there own needs
