Musician : "What Is Good Music?"

I personally do not want to be a musician but I love listening to music. I can play very
little piano and really want a violin for Christmas. My question is: how do you define good music? I know in America the pop,rap and hip-hop culture is very big, especially with young kids and teenagers. I like indie pop and some techno/electronic music. My mom is always introducing to me and my siblings to different styles and types of music that I really like. So how do you define 'good' or 'bad' music?

Well, what qualifies as good music is obviously subjective, but, to me, you have to "feel it". I don't know how it explain it, sorry. But you have to feel whatever feeling is behind it. Like for me if I were to recommend a good piece of music that is full of feeling I'd say "Last Hope by Paramore". Even a song like Muse's Uprising has a clear meaning and message behind it. It has to be about somehting, you know? I'm sorry I couldn't give you a better answer
