: "Seeking pen pals"

I am teaching a class of 32 year 4 and 5 children (Aged 8-10) in Christchurch, New Zealand. We have just started a new unit on communications. Part of this unit is going to involve writing letters. It would be great to find some children around the same age from another culture that they could write to and get a reply from. If this sounds like it appeals to you and your class, I would love to hear from you.

I'm looking for penpals for my third grade class. They are 8-9 years old. There are 23 in my class. We'd like to connect to a class in another country in order to learn about others and practice writing skills.

Let me know if you are interested.

Teri

I teach 5th grade in Freeburg, Illinois, which is near St. Louis Missouri. I have 4 sections of 5th graders, and teach spelling, reading, and language arts to all 4 sections. I would like to set up penpals with your students with one of my sections of students . Please let me know if this would be possible. My email is heiligen@frg70.org.

Thanks!

Hi everyone!
My year 7 (30 11/12 year olds) would love to correspond with pupils of the same age from anywhere in the world.
Who would like to take us up?
Send me an e-mail to start with, and a bit of information about your class and school.
I work in a secondary state school in Luton, which is about 45 minutes north of London by train.
Thanks.

Dear collegue,

I'm an Italian teacher and the purpose of this letter is to request you
partner with our school. My school is a private middle school in Corbetta
,25 km from Milan, in the northern part of Italy. I was wondering if you
would be interested in setting up an E-pal scheme so that your pupils can
learn more about Italian culture. We could do this via email. I will open
this to students from 11 to 14. Do you have any pupils who would be
interested in participating in this project?

My name is Daniela Raho and I am an English teacher at the Istituto S. G.
Emiliani in Corbetta (a small and fashinating town ) in Italy.

Our experience is that our Italian students have all been very enthusiastic
about the idea of an Epal scheme we started with a small group with a
school in England.

I hope you will get into contact with me soon, so we can get together and
organise it.
You can send me an email :

Kind regards,
Daniela Raho

Hello! I teach English in Paris in France and my pupils are 9 to 15. I do my best to improve their English but I must admit their level is not always very good ! At least they are very nice and we have a good time in class... I'm sure they are ready for having partners on the web. I'm very interested in such a project as well as an exchange programme in families. Just let me know. Bye.

Dear megan,

I teach English to nine and ten years old children in France.

They are still beginners in this language, but they would enjoy

writing a letter to your pupils (with my help) once a month for

example and receiving letters in English from children living

so far from France. Hearing from you soon, maybe. Caroline.

We would like to correspond (my students are aged 11 to 15). We speak English but have a local creole based on our history with France. The French and the British fought over this little island in the Caribbean. History has it that the island changed hands 14 times (British - French, British - French etc).

We would be pleased to exchange letters or emails.
