: "French 1 Class(es) in Chicago Looking for Pen Pals ESL/ELL Ages 13-16"

Hello-

My name is Daniel. I teach a French 1 to English/Spanish-speaking students in Chicago USA. We are looking for pen pals. My goal is to find writing partners for at least two of my four classes. It would be fun for students to correspond in French and English.

I'm hoping there is a matching group of similarly-aged Francophone students learning English that we could connect with.

For many of our students here, Spanish is their home language, but most of them also speak English very well.

I was thinking we could Skype at some point as well and possibly collaborate on a project. Our school runs until late June.

If successful, maybe we could continue next school year when they take French 2.

Bonjour,

Je suis professeur d'anglais dans un lycée de la région parisienne et je cherche des correspondants anglophones pour nos classes d'élèves français. Ils ont entre 14 et 17 ans, sont en seconde et ont des niveaux hétérogènes en anglais. Cependant, ils sont très enthousiastes!

Dites-moi si cela "peut coller".

Hi! I’m an English teacher in France. My students are English 1 students and are 11 years old, not exactly what you are looking for but I think it could be interesting! I should have at least 50 students next year, but it could be 75. Should know pretty soon. I might also have English 2 students. They could send each other letters the old fashioned way and correct each other’s mistakes and we could also Skype ! I lived a year in Chicago a long time ago , in Oak Park. I desperately need a penal too ;)

I'm a teacher in America and I also work with a company that arranges school to school exchange for high school students to come to American schools for 2 weeks and then our students go to your country fir 2 weeks and everyone gets the cultural exchange. I would love to send you a brochure. Looking forward to hearing from you.
